Tasmania Zoo provides the following facilities for your convenience.
Picnic Areas
Bring along your own picnic and enjoy the lovely natural Australian bush setting all around Tasmania Zoo at our picnic areas or our undercover seated area.
‘Meerkat Munchies’ Cafe
We have a selection of hot/cold, fresh and pre-prepared refreshments, available daily from our ‘Meerkat Munchies’ café. Located directly adjacent to our Meerkat enclosure, you can sit and watch these mischievous little creatures go about their daily business whilst you enjoy your meal.
Gift Shop
We have a range of Tasmania Zoo branded merchandise available within our gift shop.
A range of plush toys, dinosaur merchandise, ornaments, magnets and more.

Disabled Access
The zoo is wheelchair friendly, however all paths around the zoo are gravel. The use of an off-road wheelchair is recommended.
Disabled parking spaces are available.
Wheelchair accessible rest rooms are available.
Not Allowed
No pets or service animals permitted within Tasmania Zoo.
No scooters, skateboards, bikes, balloons, whistles or Frisbees are to be used within Tasmania Zoo.
